I usually get some kind of response from the Senator (Jon) Kyl, but it is obviously a form statement. I may not agree with everything the congresswoman has done but I am glad she is working as hard as she is for us. But if you have to hold up a mirror to see your left hand, you won’t agree with anything a so-called "liberal" does. I am outraged to find out that a new building of the big box store size (almost 30,000 square feet, multi-story) is to be built right across the street from my home. I live just off El Camino Real on Calle Gardenia in the Village Meadows area. This is an established residential area with many residents having lived here 30 plus years. We have lived here for 17 years and this is the first we have heard of this plan. The building is for the new Boys & Girls Club.

Dispatch / Our Woman in Thailand -- in Cambodia
She left Feb. 9 for two weeks in Thailand, with a side trip to Cambodia. Backpacking, staying in hostels, meeting scruffy travelers, chugging cheap beer, hanging on the beach ... And changing the diapers of her 8-month-old child, Sophia (who turned 9 months during the trip.) At least her husband, sculptor Tim Kaulen, tagged along to help. Suzanne asked us: "Don't you think people will want to read the travel journal of a 40-year-old tattooed woman taking her infant daughter to walk around Cambodian ruins and attend a two-day Thai Buddhist wedding of my friend from college?" We agreed. Updates have been appearing regularly in this space. Suzanne, by the way, is a Pittsburgh native who returned to the city in 2000. She launched the American Shorts Reading Series in 2003 and now works at Social Innovation Accelerator, which bolsters nonprofit organizations.
Commutation plea carries a political risk for Patrick
He is the first inmate whose plea to be set free has made it to the desk of Governor Deval Patrick, and his attempt has met with the unanimous approval of the state Parole Board. His request for a commutation - a reduction in sentence - along with the Parole Board's support, marks the first test of whether Patrick's attitude toward prisoners will be different from that of his Republican predecessors, who last commuted a sentence 11 years ago. It also forces the governor to wade into what has been a political minefield. "In this society, everybody gets a second chance," said King, 55, in a recent interview in a bare conference room at the Bay State Correctional Center, a medium security prison. "I think what I want people to understand is there is a possibility for change," King said.

View this video and see small town New Hampshire's own unique and indisputable method for securing the ballots. Saturday, January 12: Dave Berman: NH Chaos Represents Opportunity; Nancy Tobi Pleads For No "Recount" (1 comments) I'm looking at this New Hampshire situation and I'm saying alright already let's make the most of this opportunity to move ahead with the peaceful revolution. Thursday, January 10: Lynn Landes: There's a History of Suspected Vote Fraud In NH - Forget 'Official Recounts', Do Citizen Audits So, here we are again in the dark as to what really happened.Let me be clear about this.Vote fraud is not just about the machines.Election integrity is about complete & total transparency. As long as we vote by absentee(first allowed in the 1870's), secret ballots(introduced in the 1880's),& voting machines(in the 1890's),voters & candidates alike will be sitting ducks for vote fraud. Our only good option is the Citizen Audit.
